The Solution: The conceptual promotional video for Club Loggerhead's philanthropic Save The Turtles event, hosted by DJ Kit Kat, appeals to the target audience of electronic dance music (EDM) fans ages 18-21. The video features happy, upbeat, and energetic electronic dance music and utilizes typography from the brand's website. The animated logo represents the brand's identity while maintaining the electronic dance music theme. The video features video footage of DJs, people dancing at a music event, and turtles. Some video footage has been edited to represent the styling and theme of the website. The video also includes the event's tagline of "Move your soul. Save a soul." This provides consistent branding across all mediums and platforms.
The project began with sketching concepts for the logo to represent the venue and the event.
After the logos were revised, the most relevant logos were vectorized in Adobe Illustrator.
For the first draft of the concept of an animated logo, it was decided to use a dancing turtle with "save the turtles" text.
This iteration of the animated logo was incorporated into the first version of the promotional video.
After receiving feedback that the video and the animated logo were not cohesive with the brand and its website, the animated logo and the video were revised.
After feedback was received, the final iteration meets the goals of the organization, is cohesive with the brand's website, and effectively reaches the target audience.
